With a growing number of beer selections becoming available, The Beer Goddess and I thought we better start documenting our beer reviews. Often times we forget (hey, no age jokes!) whether we liked the beer or not. Documenting the technical tasting aspects of the beers isn’t really our thing, so we put together the following Beer Living Beer Rating Guide. Just ask yourself each question and try and find the best answer. If you are really stuck between two choices, you can choose the halfway point (i.e. 1.5).
How good does it taste ? (0 – 6 points):
You don’t think you can finish it = 0 points
Can finish it, but will not have another = 1 point.
It is ‘OK’ = 2 points.
Better than ‘OK’ = 3 points
This is probably in your top 10% of beers = 4 points
WOW! This may be one of the best beer you’ve ever tasted = 6 points
Would you buy this beer again ? (0-2 points):
No = 0 points
Only if the selection was very limited = 1 point
No Hesitation = 2 points
If you put this beer on your list of favorites for this style of beer, where would it fall on the list ? (0-3 points)
Not on the list = 0 points
Lower Half of the list = 1 point
Upper Half of the list = 2 points
In top 5% = 3 points.
Highest possible score is 11 points.
